I am here for Friends

About Me

I love God. He sent his son Jesus to die for me, and I am forever grateful.I seem to have a gift for making my friends laugh and smile, which is ironic because I've never really thought of myself as a funny person. One of the things my friends will tell you about me is that I'm a very good listener. Maybe that's because I place more value in conversation than I do in entertainment...I'd rather spend two hours talking with a friend than watching a movie. (I like movies, too!)I have begun using MySpace as a tool to share my passion for gardening. I hope that each and every person who visits my page will take time to look through my flower pictures. If you see something beautiful then give God the glory, because although I may be the one who plants and waters it, He is the one who makes it grow. Here are a few random things about me: * I love the zoo! * I like to drink Tab, and in case you're wondering it still comes in a pink can. * I take time to smell the roses, both figuratively and literally. * I enjoy travelling...the gulf coast is my favorite destination. * For me, having fun is spending time with my family and friends. * I have to admit that I'm not a huge sports fan, but I don't mind tagging along when my friends want to go to a game. * I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's going for a walk or working in my flower garden. * Fall is my favorite time of the year...I marvel at the beauty of the trees as the leaves change color and I enjoy the cooler weather.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I have no idea who God will draw here to read this profile. Perhaps He will use me to reach out to someone, or perhaps He will compel someone to reach out to me. My hope is that the new friends I make in myspace will eventually become "real life" friends. Don't get me wrong, having a friend in myspace is great, but it doesn't even come close to spending time with someone in real life...so if you decide to add me, be prepared that one day I'll ask to actually meet you.

A lesson from nature on how to combat terrorism

While I was working outside the other day, I made the mistake of approaching the maple tree in my front yard without wearing body armor. A ferocious mocking bird descended upon me like a ninja from a...
