I'd like to meet:

DAVE'S CARTOON HISTORY THEATREThis is the Very First Popeye Cartoon released in 1933. The theme at the start of the cartoon is quite different from the rest of the series. At Fleischer they actually recorded a different version of the opening theme song for every short.

Uploaded by iToons This cartoon is one of the greatest cartoons of all time. It's called "Bimbo's Initiation" a Talkertoon from the Fleischer Studios released in 1931. This is the kind of stuff that animation today is missing.Betty Boop (the real "Night at the Museum")

Music:

Johnny Horton, Ramones, Oasis, Cake, Dick Dale, Junior Brown, Bad Religion, Gorilaz, Green Day, Flogging Molly, Social Distortion, Cab Callaway

Movies:

The Animated Movies: Roger Rabbit, Pinocchio, The Iron Giant, Snow White , Wallace & Gromit The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Dumbo... width="425" height="350" ..The Live Action Movies: the Back to the Future trilogy, the Evil Dead trilogy, 40 Year Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Wedding Crashers

Television:

I watch 24, The Shield, Nip Tuck, Rescue Me and of course Cartoons (from Popeye to Futurama).Best Cartoons are the Ub Iwerks cartoons that he produced in his own studio in the early 1930s (such as Flip the Frog and Willie Whopper shorts), Max Fleischer's Popeye, Bob Clampett's Looney Tunes, Tex Avery's Looney Tunes, The first 3 years of Betty Boop, Disney's Mickey Donald and Goofy cartoons from 1935-37, Walter Lantz's Woody Woodpecker during the crazy 1940's years, Van Beuren's Tom and Jerry (the Dick and Larry version), Van Beuren's Cubby Bear, Tom and Jerry, Early 1930's Terry Toons and the list goes on and on.Modern Cartoons can be great to but none of them can compare to the early days of the animated cartoon. Cartoons such as the Simpsons, Futurama, Darkwing Duck, Duck Tails, Ren and Stimpy, Animaniacs, Batman the animated series, Gargoyles, Tiny Toons, The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse, The Family Dog, Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Sponge Bob, The House of Mouse, Bonkers, The Flintstones and some early Hanna Barbera cartoons (like Yogi Bear) have made great efforts to become great cartoons and they are, but they are still not the original geniuses of the animated cartoon.

Books:

Animation Books: Too Funny for Words, Paper Dreams, The Illusion of Life. EC Segar's Popeye comics are really funny. Winsor McKay's Little Nemo is some of the best comic work ever drawn.

Heroes:

Ub Iwerks and Bob Clampett, Grim Natwick and now Irv Spence
