My Xanga could beat up your Myspace!

About Me

Pretty much everything you need to know about me is somewhere on my Xanga or in another area of this profile. But I'll give you the gist in the form of a bulleted list, because bulleted lists make the world go round!

+ I'm a Xanga kid, all the way. Myspace, Facebook, 43 Things, all of these other online social networks? Mere accessories. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't blog.
+ Everyone I meet either perceives me as gifted or insane. This probably comes along with my left-handedness. I'll let you form your own conclusion.
+ I'm alluring times 2. ;o)

+ I'm working towards an associate's degree in liberal arts. This coming fall, I'm planning to transfer to CSU Monterey Bay and earn my teaching credentials in Elementary Education and Special Education.
+ Working with kids is a HUGE passion of mine. So many people perceive them as naive and sheltered, but they're probably some of the most honest, insightful people in the world.
+ I want to be a mom a lot more than I want to be a wife.
+ I'm Asian and I'm too uncoordinated to use chopsticks. I also dislike sushi. However, I'm a huge fan of white rice, lumpia, and chicken adobo. And back in the day, Hello Kitty kicked major ass. ;D
+ I'm one of the easiest people to share a radio with. I've listened to just about everything under the sun in my car.
+ I don't believe in soulmates or true love. I'd like to, but kind of in the skeptical way that some atheists or agnostics would like to believe in heaven and a merciful God.
+ I have ADD and I'm unmedicated. I'm constantly thinking. My thoughts are typically scattered and non-sensical, but I'm constantly thinking.
+ I want to stay a virgin until I'm married, but I'm already predicting that I'm going to be a total nymphomaniac. =P
+ I'm a sucker for cute/functional storage and I own way too many notebooks.

My Interests

Everything music-related, be it listening, creating, or performing. It's such a great release.

I'm also very interested in autism, ADD/ADHD, Asperger's, mental retardation, dementia, bipolarity, TS....anything that falls under the "dysfunction" label. Oddballs make the world a much more interesting place.

I also enjoy: shopping, napping, daydreaming, food, spontaneous excursions, useless cute stuff, spending hours online and being completely unproductive, giving and receiving high-fives, writing, attempting to dance and failing miserably, making fun of people who type "&&" when no one in the real world says "and and", && your beautiful face.

I'd like to meet:

The Pope. I want to sneeze in front of him. If he says "bless you", I can truthfully tell everybody that I received a blessing from the Pope. If he forgets to say "bless you", I can gossip about how mean he is for not saying "bless you" after I sneezed.

Music:

I'm pretty eclectic as far as my musical taste goes. I try to give everything a fair chance before deeming it crap. The musician who only listens to one genre is like the artist who only paints with one color.

Movies:

As a Catholic, I can't help but love Monty Python and the Meaning of Life. If you haven't heard the Sperm Song yet, you are missing out on one of the best musical outbreaks of all time.

I also loved Garden State, and have even named my vagina "Infinite Abyss" in honor of this movie. Yeah, who needs tact? But really, it was very well-done and the soundtrack is pretty good too.

Mary Poppins is an awesome movie, and I don't just say that because I'm a Disney freak. Which, by the way, I am. Look past the fact that it's aimed at little kids, and you will discover some of the most brilliant dialogue ever written.

"Though we adore men individually, we agree that as a group, they're rather stupid....."

"I'd like to make one thing quite clear - I never explain anything."

Television:

I don't really watch TV very much. The Simpson's, I Love Lucy and Spongebob are the only shows I watch somewhat regularly.

Books:

As much I like books with an actual storyline, I'd much rather spend a long day reading poetry. I like reading the original Grimm's Fairy Tales too. Much more morbid than any of the G-rated stuff you see in the movies.

Heroes:

Stay-at-home moms who do everything under the sun with little to no complaint. They don't seek glory, but they deserve so much more than a "homemaker" label.

Rather than giving something up this year, I'm going to take something on.  Meditation.  The whole purpose of Lent is to leave behind whatever separates you from the Lord.  Right now,...
