I suppose my son, our dogs, and friends are my greatest interests, but some of my other favorites are . . . convertibles; movies; computer games; TV shows that allow you to think or go ahhhh; crossword and jigsaw puzzles; books on disc; relaxing to music; and good restaurants (soft food).
Literate people with whom to chat and young-minded, interesting, dog-loving souls willing to discuss life, the universe, and everything.

The first book I read for pure enjoyment was "The Hobbit" when I was 21. I then devoured other Tolkein, Uris, and Wouk works. The Flame and the Flower (Woodiwiss) was my first historical romance, leading to everything by Kathleen Woodiwiss, Rosemary Rogers, Johanna Lindsay, Danielle Steele, et.al. My first Ludlum novel was read in 1978 (The Holcroft Covenant), which led to all his works until his death (and lately, beyond his death).Other favorite authors: Dean Koontz, Kurt Vonnegut, J.K. Rowling, Patricia Cornwell, W.E.B. Griffin, Michael Crichton, Mary Higgins Clark, Stephen King, Douglas Adams, John Grisham, and Robin Cook.
Dana Jones, the founding fathers, Vietnam vets. R.I.P. Colin Mc Rae, a real legend *mournful silence*
