About Me
I really don't like talking about myself too much, but I will give it my best shot! LOL
My name is Brandon, but most all of my friends call me Bert. I am an investigator/researcher for a paranormal group here in North Alabama called Alabama Paranormal Research Team. I enjoy checking out REAL haunted houses, cemeteries, and also LOVE to go and visit with haunted attractions around Halloween, or ANY time that we can find them open. My favorite place to go and visit is St Louis, Missouri when they have Fright Fest!! If you have not checked them out, you should!! Another GREAT one is NetherWorld in Atlanta, Georgia. I have a wonderful friend named Circus Envy that has really shown me what it is like to be open and willing to explore your darker side, and have A LOT of fun doing so! My alter ego at our haunted house here in Hayden, Alabama, called Barns Of Horror is Dr Frankey. Other than that, I enjoy most anything outdoors. Everything from riding 4-wheelers through the mud (yes, I LOVE to get down and dirty!!), fishing, all the way down to just hanging out on Locust Fork River, with a huge bon fire and a beer!! Nothing better than hanging out around the fire, drinking, and laughing it up with good friends! I have a fairly big group of friends, and they ALL mean so much to me. My BEST friend, Stacy, has been with me since middle school at good old Vinemont High!! She has been my best friend, confiedant, and partner in crime for well over 22 years now, and I don't think I would have ever made it without her! She is my heart and soul when it comes to women in my life. I have another friend that is a whole other part of me, and his name is Bart. We have been friends for about 19 years now, and we have also been through A LOT together. He has taught me just how important it is to be true to yourself, and to be yourself, no matter what other people may think. These are the two most important friends in my life, and without them, I probably would not be alive today!! I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH!!
Like everyone else, I have had my ups and downs in life (which seems to be more downs here lately), but somehow, someway, I always find a way to overcome the obstacles that are put in front of me. I am a strong willed person, soft hearted at times, and have learned through my mistakes. As I get older, it is A LOT harder for me to trust people, and here lately it has been a fact that you have to EARN my trust before I will believe or allow you to be close to me. My heart hasn't turned completely to stone yet, although it is hardening much faster than I would have liked. People that mistreat you and use you tend to make that happen, and I can tell you first hand what it feels like to be used and left laying in the floor, in a puddle of your own tears. Too many times, I have allowed myself to get too close to someone, only to be left, alone, and broken hearted....not again though!! LOL I am getting to the age where I am looking for someone that might can take my heart and hold it, and SHOW me that true love and romance MIGHT still exist somewhere out there in this cold world.
Other than that, I am just ME! I am a southern gentleman, and will respect you for what you are, until you give me a reason not to.
I live in a small town in North/Central Alabama, and if you have ever seen the TV show, Andy Griffith, then you pretty much get the idea of how this town is. And YES, everyone knows everyone, and they know (or at least think they do) EVERYTHING about you and your personal life!!
I don't get out too much when it comes to going to bars or clubs...just too much drama and B.S. associated with them, and it is like I have always been told..."If you find 'em in a bar...You'll lose 'em in a bar". And I have found this true on more than one occasion! LOL I am NOT up for a one night stand, so don't even go there...again...been there...done that!
I'm just a laid back, guy at heart!! I don't have a lot as far as material things go, but what I DO have, I have worked my ass off for, and cherish everything I have!
I believe in high morals, good family bonding, and of course, I LOVE to cuddle, hug, and kiss! Always up to just hang out at the house with a special someone and cuddle on the couch with a good movie! Best times ever!! That being said, I have a HUGE interest in horror movies, horror books...actually ANYTHING to do with the whole paranormal/horror genre.So, I guess, if you have read this far, maybe I have peaked your interest a little!
