About Me

"[Our] original shimmering self gets buried so deep we hardly live out of it at all...rather, we learn to live out of all the other selves which we are constantly putting on and taking off like coats and hats against the world's weather." ~Frederick Buechner from Telling Secrets

My end is in keeping the Connection. A war of the will. Vigilance spent in correction of perspective against the subtle, steady downpour of saturation. Morning is like rising from the grave. Newness dawns and I alone elect it's shape remembering this is the temporal, for one day I shall Meet ever fixedness.
*****************************
Earthquake like pain reveberates through my chest as I am ripped from the murky waters of my dreams into the intensity of 5:30 am. My heart hammering on my chest screams "insufficient funds, cannot complete transaction! sleep deficient!" Shaking, I fumble for the alarm switch. Feeling pain like after shocks radiating down my body I roll back waiting for it to subside. I open my eyes forcing myself to the edge of the bed. Moments pass. Willing the blood to pump back into my head, I pray I won't find myself sprawled in an un-natural postion dreaming on the floor. Feet firmly planted I stand on another day, another gift.

"In the Ramtop village where they dance the real Morris dance, for example they believe that no one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away-until the clock he wound up winds down, until the wine she made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone's life, they say, is only the core of their actual exsistence."-from The Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone! Our lives are like stories. Everyone has a story to tell, and each one uniquely crafted embodied by a beauty all it's own. It's the essense of the word artistry. Canvas, paper, lenses, clay, words, music, words set to music, and all other mediums only serve to scratch the surface of the depths of the soul in our efforts to understand and capture it's beauty. Circumstances good or bad bring about that beauty even if your own skin doesn't seem to fit nor feel particularly inspiring. You are.

i have been beaten by legalism and lulled by apathy. there is a place somewhere in between where love leads and holiness blooms. after all, aren't we all busted and broken from our own natural disasters?

Wondering if becoming Amish isnt too drastic of a change

I had to take my kiddos shopping for clothes tonight.  The reason I would even be braving a certain store on it's "best prices of the season sale" is because neither of my children own ...

Things that make you raise your eyebrows...

We recently have had the five or six roving sugar ants in the kitchen near the sink.  I keep the sink as empty as possible.  All I can figure is that the harvest was slim this year and they ...

As always I was rushing around today trying not to be late.  I shoved my stuff in the van and began my trek to school.  I impatiently drove the speed limit.  I was on my way to class fi...

Jiminy Crickets!

Growing up in the southwest we had all kinds of bugs around our yard and sometimes in our house.  There were always the occasional daddy long leg spiders and the one or two dark brown crick...

Plumbing, interestingly enough...

This past Sunday I went to church, which is unusual as I attend on Saturday nights.  My pastor was teaching on the topic of marriage.  He made the analogy that if the plumbing in your h...

Whats the matter, you got ants in your pants?

We recently had curbing installed in our backyard.  We also recently taught our dog to go to one specific spot in the yard to go "potty."  Admittedly it isn't the whole backyard an...
