Chi Town Gurl 4 Life

About Me

I was born right outside of Chicago, IL and have moved back and forth from there and Phoenix my whole life! I Graduated here, from North Canyon High May of 2006 and was the first one in my family to do so. I am currently attending Apollo College for Massage. I've worked at Village Inn for almost two years and even though its stressfull at times I love it! I have two of the greatest managers a person could ask for, what's not to love?! Now I'm also working at another Village in a couple of nights a week doing graveyard shifts. Between working two jobs and then going to school I have little time to do anything else. The time that I do have I try to spend with my boyfriend, Jimmy! He's always there by my side and he supports everything I do. I was lucky to find my other half so young! I love him with all my heart and wouldn't trade him for anything in the world! I also try to make time for my friends (you know who you are). Sometimes its really hard because I'm so busy. I really do have the best friends a girl could ever ask for and I really want you guys to know that I haven't forgot about you and I still love you all very much! Even though this is where I live, Arizona will never be my home! Home is the place that you grew up in, where you can find the people who helped make you the person that you are. For me, that is Illinios! I have a lot of my family still out there and I love and miss them every day! To my fav. cuz Dana, I'll always be here for you no matter how many miles are between us!

My Interests

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND BY Mary Stevenson ....................... One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, You said that once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The Lord replied, "My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I Carried You."

I'd like to meet:

I would have liked to have met Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., because with out him doing everything that he did, I wouldn't have the family that I have today.

Music:

With the exception of a lot of country, I listen to everything. Along with that I love to sing!

Movies:

When it comes to flicks I like any kind of movie that makes me feel the emotions that I'm supposed to. If I'm watching a horror I better be leaving the room feeling scared, a chick-flick's got to make me cry, and a comedy better leave me laughing my ass off or it's no good. Plus, my baby has been getting me into independent films 2, my favorite so far would have to be Jackie Brown.

Television:

Don't really watch it, don't have time anymore. When I do, my lil sis has the remote so I watch whatever shes got on. But... once football season comes round and Da Bears are playing you bes believe you'll find me infront of that t.v....... DA BEARS!!!!!!

Books:

Books, Books, Books, I LOVE to read!!!!!! My favorite has to be Lightning by Dean Koonze.... My second called Rain of Gold. Then there's To Kill a Mockingbird, Diary of Ann Frank, Night.... a list that goes on and on. My baby on the other hand.... I cant seem to get him to pick one up!

Heroes:

1st there's God, lifes' creator himself. 2nd is Jesus, the one who gave his life to save mine. 3rd is Dr. King, you know my reasons for that. 4th my Grandma Holtz, for being so strong and raising 7 kids of her own and then adopting two more and supported all of them on her own. For also having a deep impact on the woman I am today. 5th My Grandpa Dennis, he always believed in me and taught me the beauty in music. 6th My Grandma Quill who faught and survived through breast cancer in 92, she taught me never to give up, no matter how bad things seem. 7th my aunt Bethie and uncle Lino, for always being there for me when my parents weren't, 8th My uncle Johnny, for becoming a father figure to my aunts and uncles and my father when my grandpa Holtz passed away, and for taking care of Grandma and never leaving her side. My daddy, for teaching me that lifes hard and nothing is ever just given to you, and also for teaching me about cars and sports.... The list could go on forever!
