About Me

Mon Chi Chi is a six piece band from the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area that has self-recorded and produced their debut 11 song cd in one of the band members living room (written, recorded and produced by Bobbak Azarian). The music has been said by some to be a mix of danceable retro sounds and modern pop, but the band sees their music simply as an attempt at making a completely original style of intelligent pop music that can be enjoyed by people of all types. Some examples of the critical acclaim they've received are; If, as the crew says, Only the hippest will survive, Mon Chi Chi could well be on a path toward inheriting the Earth-CMJ New Music Report, along with Ninevolt Magazine stating Its hard to deny that Mon Chi Chi definitely has something special going on. The bands grooving rhythms and hypnotic female vocals create a sound that you cant quite put your finger on, but is sure to get you moving on the dance floor. blah blah blah..... enjoy life, have a drink, boogie down, and think about the meaning of it all. that is why we are here******************************************************** ******WE ARE NOT PLAYING ANYMORE.
