About Me

I am the winner of more than one hoola-hooping contest. I make a mean chorizo pie. I like the smell of freshly cut green peppers, but hate chopping vegetables. I love to do handstands.I am addicted to urban spaces. Some cities I love: Havana, New York, Buenos Aires, Philadelphia, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Istanbul, Lisbon, Seville, Boston, Mexico City, San Juan (PR), and Madrid. I'll toss Birmingham, Alabama in there if only for Dreamland and the view of Vulcan's bare naked behind, but it loses points on the public transportation front.I do not have a car, but I have had driver's licenses in five different states (PA, DE, FL, MA and NY).I have a virtual pet monkey.

I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Sylvia Plath in the afterlife * ditto for Lydia Cabrera & Camilo Cienfuegos (would they have been friends?) * good social-activist types in this world * Brazilians * people who enjoy peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwiches (that's right, all heaped together) * lovers of flamenco rock * speakers of franol * curly-haired girls willing to share their product knowledge * hairdressers of said girls * owners of labrador retrievers * someone who can teach me capoeira * people who understand Vladimir Vysotsky's lyrics * my neighbors in Jackson Heights.

Boston
