About Me

I'm 20. I work three jobs (probably the best anybody could ask for), and go to school full time (and am blessed to do so). I'm a child of God. The daughter of a King. I believe in a relationship, not a religion. I'm accepted, therefore I obey. I am a product of pop culture, born and raised in the Bay. I enjoy being on my long board, red bull, purified water, coffee, the sun, and the beach. I would rather be in Carmel right now. And/or with my friends, because they're the greatest. I spend way too much money, and if I hit the dirt today, I'll die broke - but with a ton of great friends and a huge smile on my face. Life is great.
"Physics tells us that everything on this planet will fail us eventually. Trust someone, fall in love: your scars will tell the same story. Entropy, pain, beauty, love, hope... mix them together and call it living. The choice that remains is where we go to find meaning and truth. The biggest failures and disappointments in my life have led me to look beyond what money or power or friends can buy. When you're face down at the very bottom of who you are, and there is no formality or pretence to cling to, all your masks fall off. In this broken place, our lives can be seen for what they are, no more no less; we are ourselves. The question is this: What happens after the twin towers in our lives fall? Do we become bitter and hateful or does redemption come into focus? I've been on both sides...only one is beautiful."

I lost my friend last year. Life hasn't (nor will it ever) be the same. I miss the messages, texts, conversations, and laughs. This kid was unique. A square. Completely frustrating, yet nothing but lovable. Far from ordinary or mundane. His stories were never dull. His life was never dull. He has inspired us to keep going, press on, and never, ever, ever, ever, be still. His smile, style, hair, pant shimmy, and presence alone will forever be with me.
"When the moon is gone forever
I hope you're up there somewhere, I'll see you again, Be with you my friend
'Cause all the roads
they lead to where you are
And all the streetlights
shine like they were stars
Let's spend tonight on top of the world, And we can do anything, We can be anything, I'll meet you tonight on top of the world,
As real as it seems, You're only in my dreams..."
