About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 How do I express myself to you all in an appropriate manner I ask myself? Hmm not easy really. It all began when my parents noticed I was beat boxing in the back of their yellow VW Golf back in the beginning of the 80's before I could talk although I've never been told what sort of beats, my parents hate hip-hop so If I'd absorbed that it wasn't from their hi-fi. Once in nappies and crawling my dad would put on some record by a jazz fusion band called Spyro Gyra and apparantely I would always crawl to the speakers and climb up it to stand so i could hold on and bop up and down dribbling rusks down them in the process. That record was made in 1981 the year I was born and has remained a favorite since. I got my first drum kit when I was 8, started my first band when I was 12. Discovered girls and booze and once or twice other illicit substances along the way but have pretty much been doing the same since, of course growing up finishing school, going to college and getting a full time job aswell plus getting in far too much debt! "One day my son all this will be yours".I live in Brockham, a beautiful Village in Surrey and have done since the age of 6, but don't panick readers I haven't handed in my passport so I never leave again in fact I venture out the village on a daily basis to work, rehearse and gig and I enjoy losing my mind and pay packet on mental nights in London "who said it was going to be a quiet night tonight, how did we end up in this indie club again? Oh my God I just dropped my trousers and shagged the speaker stack on the stage in front of 200 indie girls and boys!"Aside from the music and the goonery I also pratice the Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin and am a member of a worldwide lay Buddhist organisation called Soka Gakkai International (SGI). Now this may tell you this is where William becomes all sensible and lives the monks life and should really give up the Rock&Roll lifestyle, well no actually. The true teaching of Buddhism is that every person is precious and unique so that means we pratice to challenge our view of ourself and come to realise that every aspect of our character positive and negative can be transformed into a source of value creation and hapiness. Well thats a short description anyway and theres way too much to go into on the subject and maybe Myspace isn't where to go on about it? But I will say I'm happier than I have been in years and continue to feel happier each year and I feel full of hope even though I keep getting another year older (25 man what I was 18 only yesterday!) and thats what I chanted for. Thanks for reading all and big love to all my friends!"Who is your Daddy and what does he do?" Arnold S (you know that actor body builder guy who's now Governer of California, okay do you get the message yet I can't spell his surname?!)
