******* Matchbox Recordings presents Stay In The Box, a compilation of the best independent sounds from around the world. Buy it now from amazon, CD Baby, HMV and more. Featuring The Safehouse – Lists**********
Review of the track by Dave Chislett, the famous journalist and P.R guru. "From Bournemouth on the south coast of the UK, Safehouse are a three piece indie band. And although loosely speaking the indie tag fits, they have a unique sound that goes a bit further than the normal wham bam indie feel. Waves of cymbals and insistent rhythm guitar merge to form a wash of guitar that underpins the vocal lead. Lists is a slow paced, well orchestrated number that gives the listener a good feel for the range of the band and their intentions. "

The Safehouse formed in 2004 in Bournemouth. But they hail from a far a field as Birmingham, Andover, and Norfolk. An exciting live band with a fantastic collection of original songs.
Here's what the reviews have said............
"Evoking the spirit of early Ian Brown and Shaun Ryder, The Safehouse are more dangerous than they may first appear..... spit and swagger, well crafted songs, heartfelt and real. You need to hear this! " www.roadtov.com........"promising and fiery, theres no doubt about it, this is excellent" John Earls, Channel 4............"The last time I saw these guys there was tons of baggy swagger on show, tonight this was still in evidence, though their sound is now edgier, harder and more up to date......the sound has an imposing in-yer-faceness about it, mixing driving beats with a throbbing bass and heavy riffs....... at full speed Safehouse come close to the indie-dance of The Music, though it is those inspired John Squire licks which set this band apart from your run-of-the-mill indie....impressive stuff" Tone, BHone."Baggy Rhythms, and well thought out arrangements ensure there is never a dull moment. Well worth a look" Neon Promotions, London........."Bombastic indie rock, they can certainly play" Rhythm and Booze Magazine......." inventive, melodic and talented" Tim Mayo, Nerve Magazine."Confident and fiery, the vocals are an unusual hybrid of Brandon Flowers and David Byrne, and each track offers killer hooks, shimmering guitars, and intruiging electronica."
