Lollipop - you must mistake me for a sucker?

About Me

About Me:Well, I'm Paul. I'm 22 years old and I'd like to think I've got my S together. I live on my own in Anaheim, and work an interesting little job out here in Orange County. It's a good time, but I do work hard. I've been told I'm a pretty social person, and can usually be counted on to liven up a party or small gathering of people. I guess that's a good thing, right? A lot of people think I'm funny... I don't necessarily think so, I guess I'm just not afraid to speak my mind and tell it like it is. I suppose the truth is funny? *shruggs*. In my down time I like to spend some quality time with both old and new friends. An ideal night for me is having a quiet dinner, sipping on a glass of wine and watching stupid movies. Oddly I've never seen Forrest Gump but I sure have seen... well, haha, no need to embarrass myself, right? Generally I think I'm a pretty fun and outgoing guy. Every once in a while I like to have random nights out on the town... I like seeing where my car takes me. I've had some pretty interesting adventures. I guess adventures are my forte; I'm always up for something exciting and new. A lot of people tell me I'm one of a kind. I think that's awesome because I totally am.

My Interests

I really like spending some time with friends, I'm pretty much happy no matter what I end up doing. I really like hanging out at the beach; Venice is a cool place to hit up even though I haven't been in a while. I like the bar/club scene every once in a while but it gets real old, real fast. Going out to dinner is fun, for some reason I always end up at a sushi restaurant even though I don't care for sushi too much. I really like kicking back and listening to some good music while writing in my journal, drawing, etc. It makes me feel productive. But yeah, I totally dig music - I'm way into it. I really like the outdoors, but I don't know anyone else who likes it so I hardly ever go. Hopefully that'll change soon.

I'd like to meet:

I'd Like to Meet:I'd like to meet someone who will take a road trip to Texas and back with me, just to go. I've been talking about doing that for a while now and I swear I'm going to do it one of these days... just gotta find someone to drag along with me! I'd like to meet someone who enjoys a cool evening on the beach after a nice glass of red wine. I'd like to meet someone who not only enjoys spending a good night out over a few drinks and some good music, but who also enjoys a quiet night at home while watching cheesy Lifetime movies. I'd like to meet someone who likes the outdoors - someone to go hiking, backpacking and camping with... gosh I miss that. I'd also like to take scuba diving classes one day - it'd be awesome if I found someone to learn with me. Finally I'd like to meet someone who's really good at guitar or piano, I think that's so hardcore.

Music:

John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Amos Lee, Dave Matthews, Hellogoodbye, Jack's Mannequin, Something Corporate, Jason Mraz, Kelly Clarkson, Tom Petty, Ryan Cabrera, Jon McLaughlin, No Doubt, Rihanna, Panic! At The Disco, Melanie C, Lifehouse, Keith Urban, 80s pop/rock, Incubus, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, Ben Harper, Ben Folds Five, Amy Winehouse, etc.

Movies:

Disney movies! (I'm easy to please... I'll pretty much sit through anything but a war flick.)

Television:

Well, I don't watch TV too much these days but when I do it's generally the news or something, I'm a total CNN junkie - I love staying educated, and keeping up on current events. I also like watching old shows... Saved by the Bell is probably my favorite. I've seen them all so many times and am still not tired of them. I also really like the Animal Planet and Discovery Channel shows. Oh, and don't ask, but I really like Drake and Josh, Doug, and Spongebob Squarepants.

Books:

Honestly I don't really read too many books. I guess I haven't found any that spark my interest... but then again I I haven't looked very hard, either. I really like reading my GQ Magazine though!

Heroes:

I really look up to and have a deep respect for my parents; it's crazy how much they know and how undoubtedly right they always are. Two other huge inspirations of mine are my younger brother and sister... they're awesome. Other people worth mentioning are Matthew Shepard, Rosa Parks, Walt Disney, and John Mayer. I swear, that John Mayer is the positive voice for all us young frustrated twentysomethings... he's not afraid to attempt to change the world, and is so easy to relate to. Rock on.

My Blog

I swear I won’t miss a beat because I never... never have before.
