In no particular order: Working out, running, swimming, Texas Hold 'Em, Sodoku, traveling to new places, theme parks (Cedar Point is the best), watching movies, astronomy, history, psychology, going to football games, hitting golf balls at the driving range, Fig Newtons, Carolina Hurricanes hockey, Russian mail-order brides, bikini-clad women, etc. I'm all about weekend getaways to South Beach or Vegas; taking a cruise to the Bahamas; visiting places I have never been (I recommend the Travel Book by Lonely Planet - great coffee table book). And did I mention that I love football??
As far as friends - I believe that you can never have too many friends but I must admit that DC is not the easiest place to make friends. I found that my best friends are the ones who have a great sense of humor and an optimistic outlook on life.As far as a relationship - well, let's see: a hot blonde who can move her hips like Shakira; Alright, on a more serious note - I like girls who are "down to earth" - those who realize that a relationship should be 50-50 and not some Daddy's little princess who expects to be worshipped. Someone who is attractive (at least moderately - most of us are average by definition), can carry on an intelligent conversation, has goals/is ambitious, has good sense of humor, similar interests, optimistic outlook on life, etc.
I mainly listen to alternative rock but overall I listen to various types of music but very little as far as rap/hip-hop unless I am at a dance club. My favorite bands include Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Nickelback, and the classic rock bands like Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Nirvana, U2, etc. I also like to listen to 80's pop rock - the typical Madonna, Michael Jackson (before he was crazy), Billy Joel, etc. And I really love Kelly Clarkson!
Favorites Include:The Da Vinci Code, The Bourne Identity, Good Will Hunting, L.A. Confidential, The Matrix, Terminator 2, Cinderella Man, Walk the Line, Basic Instinct, Gladiator, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, JFK, Memento, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy among others.
My all-time favorite TV show is The X-Files. Yes, some episodes were too far fetched but the good episodes are the best thing that has ever been on TV in my opinion. I don't watch many new shows with the exception of American Idol (just like everyone else). When football season rolls around I stay glued to the TV as I primarily enjoy watching sporting events.
My all-time favorite book is 1984 by George Orwell. Some of my other favorites include: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Lord of the Flies by William Golding, The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner, Carrie by Stephen King, and Robert Frost poetry with my favorite poem being The Road Not Taken.
Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Valvano, and anyone who has ever made a name for themselves in the face of adversity.
