About Me
Our story is similar to thousands of other bands... Gaspar, our drummer woke up one day not realising hed been abducted from his native planet Dramsticks and met Gaio (our singer), also an alien whod crashed his spaceship on beautiful planet earth. Gaspars first thoughts are impossible to be translated! As they were both walking along, trying to find help, Gaio tripped on the legs of Carolas (bass), who was sleeping after a hard day working as a strip dancer in a small café in Istanbul. After being suddenly woken up he realised that his life had little meaning and he needed more to complete his existence! He then decided to help those two lost souls. The three of them travelled for days to meet spaceship repair guy Zero (guitar) who could fix anything that had buttons. When they arrived to his repair shop in Zagreb, they found a be back in five minutes sign placed there three months before! They were advised by a little rabbit that was hoping by, that Zero had moved since he was running away from the monster family of yet another of his beautiful female conquests! Now where could they find him? The three were clueless to what their next steps would be and started walking for days until they were suddenly distracted by an overwhelming urge to dance to this great sound that the three were delighted to hear!!! There was a big structure with coloured lights and a few earthlings holding glasses of an incredibly tasting liquid (they later found out it was beer). The three danced and danced, drank and drank the more they drank the better their life on earth felt. That moment they decided that their life had to be all about that incredible sound and that amazing liquid. Later they found other liquids that they equally appreciated! Flying around the area of that event, they saw Bruce (guitar), the only one who didnt have a glass or a joint in his hands. They thought he might know where Zero was since he had a flying device, but he was hard to get to because he wouldnt stand still it seemed he was experiencing the beer and joint effect more then all others! They finally caught up with him when he was making a move on three girls at the same time Bruce did know where Zero was hiding and after hearing their story he told them he also knew how they could all start a band together. Travelling to meet Zero once again, the four saw many places and met many people and started to create their concept of MUSIC. Zero was hiding in a beautiful little country called Portugal, in the small town of Tomar. What no one knew was that the monster family, whod grown considerably in power and was about to start a terrible war, had sent a spy to follow the four and find Zero. The five decided to start a band and call it BLUE!!! What a stupid name they all thought, but the apparently simple task of choosing a name proved to be much harder then they expected! One day, a fighting tiger from Vietnam, who had become their friend and quite fond of their music, told them you should change your name to MAI TAI. WHAT!?!?! No!!! Gaio said! Yes said Bruce but lets be silly and call ourselves MY TIE. Gaio pondered tie, bond, friendship, people OK I accept. In the meantime the monster family had organised a group of professional killers to destroy Zero and his band desoucal edjurnal ists. It was horrible there was a fierce battle with many wounded My Tie nearly didnt make it in one piece! It took the joint power of Gaspar and Carolas who formed an incredible energy force field around the five, while the other three concentrated and fired a lethal ray of music that transformed the killers and the monster family into fans. Slowly, MY TIE have been firing their energy ray and transforming sad and angry people into warm, happy and friendly human beings. In 2003 there was phone call from a press room from far far away! Someone wanted to concentrate the power of MY TIEs music ray into The Prize. All five ties are still together with their minds set on joining other bands with more powerful music rays, that heal millions everyday. Together through, radio waves, live acts and concentrated discs, they will keep firing this powerful ray and one day MUSIC WILL SAVE THE WORLD!
