I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

Nightworld Figure. I prowl nightclubs and dark alleys looking for the ghosts of unlucky whores and vaudeville performers. I'm the poet who never sleeps, the "I" in Italian, and someone who thinks I'm totally different than what I am. I also play button accordion very well, and violin and clarinet badly. And, oh, I do get sleep, but not enough to matter, which is why I probably always look tired or angry or like I sleep under a freeway onramp. But I'm not, and I don't.
Career? People ask me, they say, "Hey Dave", which is good because that's my name -- really. They ask, "What do you DO for a living? What have you DONE?" They ask too many questions, if you ask me, but please don't ask me; people have already asked too many questions. I have been a radio and TV broadcast engineer, a TV movie host, radio talkshow host, a furniture mover, a software developer of medical software to assist in organ transplants. I have owned and operated a restaurant and nightclub, owned and operated a telephone call center, several mailbox rental businesses, and a small ad agency. Right now, these days, I fix computers freelance, for businesses and anybody else who needs my services. I'm Honest Dave, and I'm honest and I'm Dave, so it fits. I also perform and book entertainment.
I Book Shows! I book shows at nightclubs from time to time, and I also book private parties and corporate events that come my way. I've booked shows for car dealerships, a radio station, Oracle parties, an Apple user group convention, houseboat parties, and quite a few weddings and other private events. I specialize in everything but rock or singer/songwriters. Brass bands? Eastern European folk? Bluegrass? Rockabilly? Experimental jazz? Jugglers? Escape artists? Want a show? I'll find the talent!
Mister Melodeon is AVAILABLE FOR PARTIES! Yes, my alter ego, Mister Melodeon and Gertrude, my button accordion, are available to play background music for your next party or corporate event. Not a stage act, this is a strolling musician kind of thing. I play lively and mellow, nostalgic and unknown tunes from the genres of pop, country, waltz, and polka, but not any conventional tunes. Very fresh, lots of fun. I've performed at the DNA Lounge, Good Vibrations Christmas party, on the streets, in the subways, at birthday and anniversary parties, in performance salons, on houseboats, and at corporate parties. Your guests will be talking for weeks about your party when you hire me for your next one.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who have interesting things to say and do. I would also like to meet an accomplice, especially someone who wants to make like bunny rabbits. I prefer guys to womenfolk about 80/20, but I'm more interested in the person than the plumbing. I've been known to tryst with sincere people who didn't know what they were getting into at the time. I'm not possessive, and I've always believed that most people look better with their clothes on and only the necessary pieces removed. I'm willing to try almost anybody once. Be nice to me, that's all I ask.

Benefit for Doorman

SATURDAY NIGHT (TOMMORROW 4/29) 9pm Noe is the doorman at the Powerhouse bar. He's unusual for a bouncer in that he's not a brute. He's actually a professional mime. He's also caught in an unfortun...

Coincidence, Not Intention

There are never any intentions, just coincidences, it appears.  Anyhow, Willie Nelson has just released a gay cowboy song, though it is said that it's just a coincidence that it is happening now ...

Gagging Reflex

I have trained myself to subvert my gagging reflex so that large objects that otherwise would cause me to upchuck don't trigger anything.  But I was close to oopsing my cookies a few minutes ago ...

I'm HERE Dammit!

Okay, I'm here I'm here I'm here.  I didn't want to be on MySpace because I'm not a 14 year old girl with a crush on anyone, and I don't relate to pink hearts and pictures of fluffy kittens. ...
