I'm a PROUD PROUD PROUD Danzante... This simply means that I dedicate my life to the preservation of indigenous traditions of Mexico. Our "Kalpulli" or "Center of Learning" is named QuetzalCoatlicue, rooted in one of the oldest groups of Tradition that is in Mexico, La Mesa de Macuilli Tonatiuh. We listen to the guidance of our Capitana Tlayohua Ehekatl (Susana De Leon) and our General Pedro Espana Figueroa.
I was born and raised in Torreon, Coahuila (MEX) and for those of you who don't know, Coahuila and Texas used to be the same state before the U.S. invasion and expropriation *cough* theft *cough* of the land in Texas and nearly 1/3 of the Mexican land. (Yes people, it's time we call apples "apples" and oranges "oranges")
I try to surround myself with people who are positive, who are REAL, who want to move forward, who are down to earth (i.e. my twin bro Eric -- sometimes you're too damn real Eric, bajale!!) and most of all, who are true to themselves and the people around them. I certainly appreciate and cherish those who have these qualities and who have stayed around me for years. I'd rather have one true friend than many fake ones... Friends who will be honest and who'll keep it real with you no matter what, who'll love you for who you are. I've been very blessed to find people like that in my life :D
And yes, I am an educated Chicana. I will tell you off and I will creatively make a point if I come across your negative ignorance. No, I'm not angry, I'm just honest :) And yes, I am well aware of the fact that I have white skin. It's not something that bothers me, so don't even try :) I am as Mexicana as they come, and yes I DO LOOK MEXICAN. We don't all have to fit the stereotypes -- we're like skittles, and come in all kinds of pretty colors.

I'm happy not wishing to meet anyone. If we're meant to cross paths, then great, and if not -- that's ok too... I think the Creator has a plan, things happen for a reason, so why stress about it...
