Quinton Clarke:
{Soul Brothas, RSVP Entertainment,Artisan Hotel, Fleur De Lys, Soul Kitchen, }Quinton Clarke is currently residing in Las Vegas, where he has relentlessly played a major role in the Las Vegas house movement. His journey only dates back to 1993 when he was first introduced to the underground movement in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he grew up. Within his infant years he showed continued support to the house scene primarily in the Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and LasVegas arenas. I feel so blessed that I was in to this culture at such an early stage of this movement. I knew from day one this was what I wanted to be a part of for the rest of my life. states Mr. clarke.During the spring of 1992,Quinton was a regular at the local skating rink in Tulas, Oklahoma where he would watch the Dj's play.It was there where he began to take on a new hobby of spinning records and it was there where he established his first parties. He began working for Skateworld at 15 and made a name for himself around town. Known all around town as "Dj Q at Skateworld", says Quinton, he took it as a sign to keep going and eventually started his own nights. It was an after hours for adults for a local radio station, he was the main Dj and was in charge of the activities that took place. In the spring of 2000, Quinton left Tulsa, Oklahoma with his sister and her family to Las vegas where he started to attend college at The Art Institute of Las Vegas going for his bachelors in Digital Media Production. There he met his friend Dj Cielo(Prex Rodriguez). Both teamed up to make one of the biggest team duo's in Vegas for house music. Going under the name of Soul Brothas, they were ruthlessly popping up evereywhere. Either Dj'ing or just showing support for the other local house dj's, their presence always lit up the room.Currently in Las Vegas, Quinton claims This city is as hungry as it gets for some deep soul-filled house music. God has truly blessed my path in life by placing me in this city at this time! Since his arrival to Vegas in the spring of 2000, he has held a plethora of residencies and a countless number of appearances in just about every club in town. Some to venues to note: Godspeed{ Foundation Room }Mandalay Bay, Empire Ballroom, Triq NightClub @ Planet Hollywood, Ra Sushi @ Fashion Show Mall, Fleur De Lys @ Mandalay Bay, V Bar @ The Venetian, Souled Out Sundays @ Post Op Tavern, Motion Mondays @ Cedar Grill , Emergency Room Lounge, Cafe' Hookah Lounge, Red Hookah Lounge, Aritsan Hotel( Lavish Sundays, Excursions Saturdays,Thursdays with That Dj Girl), Soul Kitchen, and the list goes on and on.Being blessed with appearances from artists including Doc Martin, Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, DJ Sneak, Marques Wyatt, Garth, Jeno, Diz, Johnny Fiasco, Halo, Jamie Thinnes, Soulstice, Afro-Mystic, Wally Callerio, Dean DeCosta, Dizzy, Cade, John Lemmon, Jonene, Lil Chris, Juan Nunez, and all of the top local house DJs Vegas has to offer. These influences have shown Quinton what kind of dj he is and desires to be.Quinton currently holds two residencies and also plays with Kieth Evan and Carlos Sanchez (House Society) in certain events. On Thursday and Saturday from 9pm-2am he plays at the Artisan Hotel lounge with That Dj Girl from Chicago on thursdays spinning early 90's house, breakbeats, and trance. On Saturday nights he plays along side Dj Theory (Open Minds) from Los Angeles playing deep-soulful house and downtempo music. Both nights are packed and the atmosphere is perfect for the style of music to keep people coming. It is such a cool environment the Artisan has created there. It is refreshing for me because it gives me a place to truly be uninhibited. My focus at this time remains in Las Vegas best interest with the house scene here. My hands are extremely full right now. Though now, I can see the light and I feel I am surrounded by some of the greatest DJs and artists and I am blessed to have great relationships with those individuals. I believe that when the time is right for that part of my career, then I will step up to the plate, states Mr. Clarke. This grounded individual before you not only shows great passion, knowledge, and patience, but incredible resilience to push house music to a community desperately in need. His pioneering in the Las Vegas arena is only beginning to take notice. I feel like we as a community havent even scraped the surface of what we can do together. Personally speaking, I feel the same about where I am going. All of these dedicated years have brought me to this point. I am so excited about the future for Las Vegas and for the future of my career. It is about the music first and it will always be about the music first. Those values I have learned and my faith are the primary reasons for my success. As you can see Quinton's main influences stem from artists with equal values. He has learned from some of the most influential artists in our time. DJs such as Halo, Kieth Evan,Mark Farina,Miguel Migs has paved way for him within his own personal experiences. Now he only wants to carry on that same idea with music and to be just a part.
