Mix 90's grunge with 80's metal...add some flavor, and just a dash of style...oh, and we can't forget a little bit of innovation...then just a gallon of Christianity. That is how you get STRANGERS IN THE WORLD!
Strangers In The World is a Christian rock band whose mission is to reach out to people with the message of Salvation through Jesus Christ. The band formed in 2004 as an acoustic-rock style band playing popular worship songs with 7 members. Since then, we have gone through some personell changes and streamlining to what is now a 4 piece alternative rock band, playing mostly original music. We strive to show Jesus' love to those who might never step foot into a church simply because it is a church and they have a view of the church in general that it is a social club or that the church is full of hypocrites or they may even feel that they aren't worthy of going to church.

Influences: Well, let's see... hmmm...
Rick is our metal-head... if it's hard and rockin', he likes it! He used to listen to Slip Knot, but likes Demon Hunter, Project 86, etc.
Matt C. I guess my influences are: Petra, Queen, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, and Audio Adrenaline
Jason has influences from blues (old acoustic blues like Robert Johnson, etc. and local favorite, Jonah Gregory) to grundge (yes, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, etc.) to old school metal (meaning Metallica!!!!).
Joe has influences all over the place, from the funk/jazz styles of Victor Wooten, to the metal thrashing of Cliff Burton..
Sounds Like: None other... we have a lot of influences in our sound, but none of them are so prevalent that people say "they sound just like ____"... It's like mixing all the leftovers in the fridge together and coming up with some awesome, unrepeatable recipe... kinda...

"WALKING DEAD" REVIEWS

"Walking Dead" gets five stars from me. And that isnt me being biased. It is amazing to hear where you guys were a while ago and to hear what you guys are putting out into the world now. The music is outstanding and the lyrics are meaningful. I have to say that i love every song on the cd.. and that is rare... i cant stop listening to it :]. Keep continuing doing what you 4 love because music like this is like no other. You guys rock and this cd is amazing :]God Bless, Ashley
