I currently live in Rockville, MD and work For the Food and Drug Administration. I worked as a post doctoral fellow bench scientist for 4.5 years at the NIH. The labs that I woked in at NIH were at the FDA Center for Biologics and Research. I became a scientist so that I could quote the line from Ghostbusters that I have in my headline. I now no longer do bench work and just do regulatory work in the Office of Vaccines at the FDA. My job requires me to interact with researchers and companies around the world who want to develop and sell vaccines in the USA. Despite the fact that I am a scientist, I do claim to have adept social skills. I do things like play kickball to occupy my free time and exercise my social skills. I have also started to work out again to get back in to the shape that I was in when I was in my early 20's, but it will be a long road. I have some pretty cool friends but am always willing to make more.
