I am here for Friends

About Me

Hello! I’ve just graduated from Falmouth College of Arts with a degree in Graphic Design. Not entirely sure that I really want to be a graphic designer, but I’ve decided I’ll give it a go and see how I feel after a few months.I’m really interested in the environment and recycling and am thinking of starting a second part-time degree with the Open University in Environmental Studies at some point when I’m a bit more settled. I love living in Cornwall. Loads of my friends couldn’t wait to leave for the city life, but that’s not for me; it’s so beautiful down here and I just love going for walks or sitting in the park. I’ve got loads of energy and can’t stand being bored! If there's nothing to do, I make something to do. Most of my spare time is spent singing, dancing or swimming! I’m very creative and enjoy drawing, taking photos and making jewellery. I am also slightly obsessed with buying second hand dresses; I can’t help myself!I’m a very independent person but value the friendships that I do have very highly; I have a small number of close friends rather than lots of acquaintances. I think I’m pretty loyal and always try to be there if people need me. I’ve been single for well over three years now, and am really ready to meet someone. Haven’t had much luck with the boys, but am hoping that might change one day.

My Interests

badminton, tabletennis, playing the cello, making things, lots of swimming, lots of singing, dancing, going to the theatre to see plays, musicals, contemporary dance or ballets, amateur dramatics. I’m actually in a play at the moment which goes on stage next week which is a bit scary! I’ve also just found out I’m principal boy in next years pantomime! Oh yes I am!

I'd like to meet:

nice people

Music:

Madeleine Peyroux, Jill Scott, India Arie, Angie Stone, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Dave Brubeck, Ray Charles, Otis Reading, d’Angelo, Amy Winehouse, Mary Chapin-Carpenter, but fairly open minded!

Movies:

Don't watch an awful lot, but I like beautiful, thought-provoking films. Memoirs of a Geisha, Sophie's Choice, Amelie. Also love disney animations.

Television:

Don't have much time for tv. Like documentaries. Also have to make time for Neighbours. So wrong but so right.

Books:

Love reading when I get the chance. At the moment am reading the complete works of Hans Christian Anderson. Some really odd stories in that. Also subscribe to Creative Review every month.

Heroes:

My parents are just fantastic. My dad is so smart and always knows what to do. I think my mum is so beautiful, and such a warm person too. She’ll do anything for anyone. I hope I grow up to be just like her. Because she’s Danish she comes out with some really odd expressions and her accent can be quite funny too. She’s so cute! Also my best friend Rach is a real inspiration to me.
