Hi. I guess among other things, my biggest achievements to date are breaking the world land speed record for motorcycles on September 3rd, 2006 with a two way average of 342.797mph. The previous record stood for 16 years at the hands of Dave Campos at 322. My record only lasted 2 days and was broken by my former team on a machine I helped develop. It was a devestating experience, but one that makes me even more determined to get it back.
I recently wrote a book about my experiences chasing the motorcycle world land speed record and what its like to drive a 350mph two-wheeled rocket. The title is: FLAT OUT The Race for the Motorcycle World Land Speed Record. You can pick it up at most major bookstores or purchase it online at amazon.com or any other internet bookseller.

News Flash: Sept. 26, 2008 Rocky Robinson goes 360.913 mph breaking the world land speed record for motorcycles! (pending ratification from the FIM) What an awesome run. This is the second time we've been the fastest, but this time it looks like we'll get to hold on to it for a while. Wooohooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with passion. Successful people aren't afraid to fail, its about being in the game. You can't hit a home run if you don't step up to the plate...I learned an unexpected lesson from Ricky Graham, who at first can come across as arrogant, at least in my opinion. In reality, he was just beaming with confidence. He said he had to beleive in himself that he was the best, in order to do what he did on the racetrack against the world's best. After hearing that, I finally got him, and people like him.It's people like that who overcome their fears and rise to the occassion that I think are the coolest.I'm also an author with one published book and more on the way. I'd like to meet fellow authors, people who like to read, and of course, people who like going fast!
