I am here for Friends

About Me

Well, I'm in the Army and I'm stationed in Hawaii currently serving a 15 month tour in Iraq. I've also served in Afghanistan. I should be headed back in early October. I come home to Houston every chance I get and love to hang out with friends and family. I'm very outgoing and love to drink. I don't get stupid though, so don't worry. I'm pretty open-minded, but I'm also a straight-shooter. I don't candy-coat things. If you're my friend and you ask for my opinion or comment, you might not like my response. But that's how it's supposed to be amongst true friends. If they're not honest to you, then who will be. I'll always help if I can. Hit me up if you want to know more.

My Interests

I love baseball. Both College and Pro. I like to Bowl, even though I'm not very good. I love hangin' with friends and playing drinking games. I like attending sporting events. I like hangin at the bar/club, but I don't live there. I like to write songs and love music in general.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone. I'm always game to meet new people. You can't ever have enough friends. Just keep it real. Be yourself.

Music:

Wide range. Norteno, Cumbias y Baladas, Screamo/Emo, Punk, Alternative, some 80's, some Country, Instrumental (piano/guitar). I mean, who else do you know that goes from Intocable to Jose Luis Perales to Kenny Chesney to Senses Fail to Simple Plan to Peter Cetera and then winds it all down to some Meat Loaf? That's right, I said Meat Loaf. He's probably my all-time fave. Others include: --Hawthorne Heights, Making April, Sleepaway, Houston Calls, Crash Romeo, The Summer Obsession, The City Drive, New Found Glory, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Boys Like Girls, A Day Away, Just Surrender, Hometown Anthem, Intocable, Costumbre, Enigma, La Firma, Intenso.

Movies:

Scream is still no.1 I love scary movies. They don't have to have lots of blood and gore to make them scary. I'm down for Romantic ones, The Notebook and The Story of Us, come to mind. Comedies, of course. Wedding Crashers is classic. Napolean Dynamite, because of it's simple humor. Action is good, if it's original. Just don't ask me to watch Sci-Fi. I can't get into it.

Television:

Smallville, Family Guy (Stewie rules), American Dad, George Lopez show, Two And A Half Men, Baseball Tonight, and ESPN's College Gameday, are a must.

Books:

I actually like to read. Harold Coyle's military action novels are awesome. Time, Newsweek, Foreign Policy, Foreign Affairs, The Atlantic Journal, The Economist, and of course Maxim.
