With the Lord's blessing, I can be anything I want to be or do anything I want to do if I put my mind, body, heart, and soul to it. But then again, who can't, right? But at the present moment, I am a teacher. I think teaching is one of the noblest professions one can choose to be in, and I am pleased to be in it. Who can argue against being in a career in which you can serve multiple roles to aspiring others (e.g. nurse, accountant, artist, comedian, architect, poet, counselor, inventor, mechanic, speech therapist, clothing or style model, goodwill ambassador, athlete, and so on) while allowing yourself the opportunity to enrich your wits at the same time? And these are just a couple of many other perks. Aside from being an educator, I am also a professional DJ/turntablist. I learned on my own and am proud of my DJ upbringing. I have been "playing the turntables" for quite a long time and still enjoy doing so to this day. Some become a DJ for shallow and insignificant reasons -- mind you, they drop out of the DJ scene very quickly or lose interest in being one -- but I chose to become one because of my love for all kinds of music, my strong desire to see what I can do with the art of the mix and scratch, my desire to express my personal ideas and concepts through turntable music by becoming well-versed and competent in the use of other music-making equipment and or tools to do so, and primarily just to create my own personal sound. Just like with teaching, over the years of being an active DJ/turntablist I've learned all kinds of things, one of them is being disciplined by virtue of an acquired skill.
