What Gemstone Are You?Music, music and more music that's me!! And not forgeting the tehatre of course!!! Seriously though music has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I come from a family with a musical background and have been going to see shows at the theatre etc since a very young age. I am always setting myself new goals/ambitions to achieve, and I am pleased to say that so far I've achieved most of the things I've set out to do. I play keyboard and played my first song (not my own song I might add haha) when I was just 4 years old. To cut a very long story short, my sister played the organ when we were kids, I took an interest and asked her if I could try to play. She showed me a few 'tunes' and it soon became clear that I could pick it up really quickly. I play by ear, still do to this day. My dream is to work in theatre doing live sound. Everyone keeps asking me though, 'why do you want to do live sound? all that pressure?' I just simply say 'well, let's just say I like a challenge, and that it's the adreneline I thrive on to get things just 'right''.Rather then performing though, I have to say I prefer all the 'behind the scenes' stuff, the techy stuff. I'm also constantly on the look out for and intested in new bands/singers/songwriters/musicians with a new sound, something fresh that may catch my attention. My taste in music is so varied, (as you'll see from the list to the left of my profile). Generally speaking though, I don't have any one 'style' of music I prefer. When it comes to music I like to keep an open mind. Whether it be a particular arrangement in a song, one particular sound, certain lyrics or a particular instrument that is used. I love music that has it's own style, anything that's 'different' to anything I've heard before.Other than that I'd like to think I'm a bubbly, outgoing person who enjoys life and intends to make the most of it, life is too short. I also plan to do some more travelling in the none too distant future. It's a big wide world out there, so much to do, so much to see. I love to learn about new things, and learning about different cultures, learning about arts and different aspects of the music industry.
