About Me

Wow, isn't it really hard just to describe things about yourself? Let's see, I'm a transplanted Southerner living in Los Angeles. I say that despite the fact that I've lived in LA for over 10 years. I like to think that I maintain the small town attitude, though, that I grew up with. I say y'all more often than I should and just got called out for saying it more than twice in a sentence last week...while on a work phone call.I think most people would describe me as a nice guy. I'm fiercely loyal to my friends, which I guess explains why so many of them have been there since grade school. I like to listen to others yet constantly I fight that urge we all have to provide commentary. I hope the listening wins out.I sing in my shower, in my car, and frequently in my office. I'm kind of weird like that. I love my USC football. Go Trojans!!! I like to read biographies about historical figures. I also rely on my DVR (wish it was Tivo) and my iPod, though.I like to work out, but I'm not a big fan of my 24 Hour Fitness. Too many people. I'm getting into cooking (took a fun class at Sur La Table and wasted $55 at Williams Sonoma), took salsa and swing dancing for a while, and now I'm taking a Personal Finance class at UCLA I love to travel, especially around Europe. I went to Hawaii in September, so I added a few photos of that. I love discussing movies, which I guess explains my career choice, but I also love hearing what others are passionate about. That's me.

My Interests

I think I pretty much covered it in the "About Me" section. Obviously, there's more to me than just that, but then, isn't the need for these two sections pretty redundant?

I'd like to meet:

I guess this is where I'm supposed to put some female celebrity I've been wanting to hook up with for a long time (Sandra Bullock/Jennifer Connelly), a supermodel I've been obsessing over (Elle MacPherson, Heidi Klum), or maybe even that girl I've kept in the back of my mind since high school (ah, only my closest of friends would know that one). Oh, by the way, she's married now, so that one's off the books.Truth is, I'd like to meet Jennifer Love Hewitt. That's right, I said it. She's gorgeous. And I've seen her twice now in my neighborhood. Now ask yourself this question, have you ever approached a celebrity at Baja Fresh before? No? So don't call me chicken!I'd also like to meet...the Grape Lady.

Music:

I primarily listen to classic rock, jazz, and soundtracks, but I will admit what you all are afraid to...those dang Pop songs stick in your head all day long to the point where, sadly, you know the lyrics.Gotta love Pink Floyd. If you saw the Live 8 Concert, you'd know why. I'm a fan of Dave Matthews, but I don't obsess over every playlist. I like the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Zepplin, the Who...Al Green, B. B. King, the Temptations...Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck. You get the idea.

Movies:

The Summer of '42, The Natural, Once Upon a Time in America, Cinema Paradiso, Field of Dreams, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Godfather, The Godfather Pt. 2 (yeah, I omitted the 3rd one and I'm proud of it), anything with Audrey Hepburn.

Television:

Smallville, Pushing Daisies, 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, CSI, Grey's Anatomy

Books:

Authors - James Patterson, Richard North Patterson, Greg Iles, Jon Krakauer

Heroes:

I like the Green Lantern. He could make anything out of that silly ring of his. If I had the Green Lantern ring, I'd make lots and lots of green cash.Oh...and Afro Ninja...
