Music:

all music is good for the soul, but Blues feeds mine...the greats like Billie Holiday, Ella, i love Rosemary Clooney's voice and good 'ol blue eyes will always get me from here to LA, i love The Bare Naked Ladies (cuz they make me giggle) Simon & Garfunkel (when i need to feed a sad mood) and I'm diggin the Horror Pops lately, thanks to Nik and Keihla. I like Flogging Molly, and my favorite musicians are Keihla and Maleah...i know i'm home and happy sitting around listening to them play and sing. The Shins, Sublime, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Janice, Pink Floyd, any musical, Cole Porter. Modest Mouse, Nickel Creek, Joan Osborne, Tori Amos, Ani DeFranco, Linda Etter, Bob & Ziggy, Snow Patrol, The Who, The Bangles, Sting, Misfits, Bad Religion, Chad Donohue:) God, music is just good...and once in a while some Guns 'n Roses. I often wish i could relive sitting around and singing with my Ma (my grandmother), my mom, Aunt Mary, and Aunt Micky...they were the women that taught me to love to sing and harmonize, the old Gospels were her favorites and i'd give anything to sit in front of her piano and sing "i'll fly away" again, with my sister who was the first one to ever believe in me, and make me believe in myself.

Movies:

i should watch more movies, but these are the ones that i can watch over and over and not get bored...Willy Wonka and the Choclate Factory, Young Frankinstein (or Frankensteeen), The Princess Bride (good book too:), The Shining, Dead Poets Society, Gross Point Blank, The Wizard of Oz, Practical Magic, All the Harry Potter's, The old Herbie The Love Bugs from back in the day, The Cat from Outer Space and Silence of the Lambs... I'm sure there are more but i can't think of 'em right now...OH, my newest favorite, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. OH...and Life Aquatic, ooo and Mommy Dearest, OK i'm done.

Television:

Hey, i've got cable:) I would like to say I don't watch much tv, but i'd be a liar...I have now mastered reading and watching tv at the same time, i really need to get a life. I also wish i could say that I'm using this new cable thing to further my knowledge and intellect, like i sit around and watch the Discovery or History channel and then be able to say those shows flip my skirt so i could sound more smarter but to be honest, that My Name is Earl guy makes me giggle my ass off...you have to watch The Office, Gilmore Girls, CSI has taken a good chunck of my life, The L Word, Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs, Myth Busters, AMERICAN DRAGSTER:) Sex & The City, Conan, Aqua Teen Hunger Force... that's about it...wait, WEEDS, if you people haven't checked out this showtime show, do cuz it's good. I also still love the old stuff; That Girl, Giligan's Island, Fantasy Island (Barbie Benton was my first crush, yes i'm straight but who can't think Barbie Benton isn't hot), The Love Boat, Charlies Angels, Boosom Buddies, Three's Company, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Greatest American Hero, CHIPS, I love Lucy, The Beverly Hill Billies, The Muppet Show...Electric Companyeeee...fun stuff.

Books:

Catcher in the Rye, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, well really that whole Douglas Adams series "The space ship hung in the air, much like bricks don't.", The Belgariad series by David Eddings, Shel Silverstein, Harry Potter's, and The Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club and Diary of a Fat Bride by Laurie Notaro, Life of Pi, also Gregory McGuire, the guy who wrote Wicked, I've read some of his others and they are great for losing yourself in a story, although it's taking me a while to warm up to Mirror, Mirror...I'd get Wicked first. I'm reading Lullaby right now, i'll let you know how i like it...(loved it!)...Robert Fulgham is who i want to be and think like when i grow up...and Mother Teresa's words are incredible and life changing...and the Bible (especially in Pidgeon), To Kill A Mockingbird, Practical Magic is wonderful (Alice Hoffman is one of my favorite story tellers) and i love Poetry, any expression of one's self seems to inspire me...i really love so many authors and stories...if you read this, please let me know your favorites:)

Heroes:

Keihla and Maleah...always and for so many reasons.

my twisted view on the airport...

People moving in straight clumsy linesFaces like plastic stretched over skullsListening for directionWaiting like confused cattle hungry for somethingLonging for their loved ones but too tired to care...
