Brady Toops grew up in New London, a small rural town hidden amongst the lakes of west central Minnesota. His early years were occupied by many athletic events, primarily baseball, but his love for music was evident even at a young age. According to his parents, "The kid just couldn't stop singing." As his teen years progressed he sang in church and other choir and ensemble groups. Alongside this, Brady’s baseball career continued .. high school and brought him to the University of Arkansas. As an escape from the pressures of college baseball, Brady picked up the guitar his first year there and began to teach himself to play. He soon discovered that songwriting was a natural talent and began to develop and experiment in this newfound arena of life. In the spring of 2004, Brady helped lead the Razorbacks to the College World Series and was then drafted in the 10th round by the St. Louis Cardinals. His professional baseball career ended in 2006 after playing three seasons in the Minor Leagues. As baseball left the picture, Brady’s passion for music continued on. Consequently, in November of 2007, he released his debut album, "Only You". Brady’s heartfelt lyrics and musical style reveal his genuine search for God and will resonate with many who long for authentic worship.
Brady currently lives in Kansas City, MO and travels around the United States playing concerts, leading worship, instructing at baseball/catcher camps, and speaking to various groups: churches, youth groups, high schools, middle schools, FCA gatherings, etc.
