About Me

Anastashia started in the summer of July, 2007. The original members consisted of Adam Settle - vocals, Jared Vinzi - guitar, Dale Hammond - guitar, Mike Wood - bass, and Dusty Boles - drums. For 4 months Dale drove 2 hours north to Glasgow, Ky for practice two times a week. At first the bands chemistry seemed to suffer because of the distance until they all decided to work out a set schedule. As the months rolled by Anastashia quickly wrote 5 songs and began playing shows. Word seemed to be growing quickly throughout the southern kentucky and middle tennessee region about the upcoming band. As the months rolled on Mike Wood decided he was more focused on college rather than the music at hand so he parted ways with the band. Anastashia played a few shows without a bassist and Jared Vinzi began to grow tired of the band not being able to find a bassist and he quit with the band still having shows booked. So, unfortunately Anastashia had to do what they could and they had no choice but to play the shows as a three piece. Within the first two shows Dale Hammond met Carson Plunkett and he seemed interested in playing with the band. He came to a practice and seemed to be really impressed with how tight the band was with just being a three piece and decided to join the band. Anastashia began writing new material very quickly as the chemistry grew stronger and stronger. But as the music seemed to be getting better and better, Adam seemed to have other goals he wanted to focus on more so than the band so he decided he wanted to go to college and quit the band. Dale Hammond's close friend Brandon Finney was in a previous band with him and gave Dale a call and said he would like to try out. He came to practices and the band decided to let him fill the vocal spot. Anastashia had been getting so much recognition from all around the surrounding states and in their hometowns. They began to start having more and more of a draw of people as the months past. Quickly they began to start getting on larger scale shows such as Vital Remains, Suicide Silence, Despised Icon, Winds Of Plague, Whitechapel just to name a few.
Anastashia are working hard right now with recording their demo, writing even more material, practicing more and more and focusing on making their live performance the best it can possibly be and planning on touring in August.
