About Me
I can sleep all day if uninterrupted -but that shouldn't be confused at all with laziness; I simply bask in the state of unconsciousness if ever given the opportunity. My day is incomplete without music. I play the guitar- but only in a mediocre, self-satisfying sort of way (the bodhran as well - but to a relatively more proficient extent). I'll sing until told to stop, and sometimes not even then. The most alive I've ever felt is being totally embraced in a role onstage in front of an audience, and would drop everything in an instant for another chance at that. I drink Guinness religiously and think that whiskey may very well be 'the life of man'. I am often bothered by the media and politicians, yet have a strange compulsion to one day be in Congress. GI Joe was the best cartoon of all time, and ThunderCats would always win in a fight with Voltron. The ocean gives me a spiritual notion like nothing else on this earth. My family is my core, and my friends are family. Give me a pub with live music and good conversation over a 'club' any day of the week. I sincerely believe those like Dave Matthews and Steven Jenkins are our modern-day Keats', Thoreau's, and Shakespeare's. I have nick-names that I still don't know exactly where they came from. Blessed are the peace-makers, for they will be called the Children of God. I tend never to turn down an opportunity for a wrestling match. I find strange solace in disorder, yet am compelled to believe there is sense in everything. Driving is relaxing (unless, of course, I see slow 'fast lane' drivers and those who refuse to utilize turn signals). "I'm not ashamed to say the wild boys were my friends". Garfield is my fictitious idol. What can I say about the Irish?
The utterly impractical, never predictable,
Something irascible, quite unexplicable, Irish.
Strange blend of shyness, pride, and conceit
And stubborn refusal to bow in defeat.
He's spoiling and ready to argue and fight,
Yet the smile of a child fills his soul with delight.
His eyes are the quickest to well up in tears,
Yet his strength is the strongest to banish your fears.
His faith is as fierce and his devotion is grand
And there's no middle ground on which he will stand.
He's wild and he's gentle, he's good and he's bad.
He's proud and he's humble, he's happy and sad.
He's in love with the ocean, the earth and the skies,
He's enamoured with beauty wherevet it lies.
He's victor and victim, a star and a clod.
But mostly he's Irish in love with his God... target="" class="navbar"Home | Browse | Search | Invite | Film | Mail | Blog | Favorites | Forum | Groups | Events | Videos | Music | Comedy | Classifieds
