Omen has been evolving since the late 90's as an Artist with a unique style. Using aerosol as his main medium he is not content to be pigeon-holed as a graffiti. While this is not an insult, he is much more. He is an artist that is pushing the aerosol movement forward kicking and screaming into accepted norm of Fine Art. No other medium has met with such resistance to be accepted as a valid form of expression as Aerosol. No other time in history has there been a movement around a medium. There has never been a tempura movement, an oil paint movement nor a acrylic movement. Why is there an Aerosol movement? Or Graffiti, as it's called?
To upper levels of our society, mainly curators and collectors, it represents poor, uneducated and, in plain english: the lower levels of our society. Long has the educated elite been able to ostracize this type of medium by labeling it graffiti.
This is where Omen wants to set things straight. Aerosol is a medium like any other; valid and able to be used as a vehicle to express oneself. Graffiti is for the street and that's where it should stay. Aerosol can be used to do realism, expressionism, cubism, etc like any other medium. As long as aerosol and graffiti keeps being used to be pigeon-holed keep legitimate artists down: I will keep blowing your minds.
