I'd like to meet:
Other people who have lots of different interests, too. I love my job and school and I love to be around other people who are positive and motivated too.
Music:
Everything! I have Country, Reggeton, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul, Swing, Opera, Metal, Classic Rock, and Mexican music all in my library. My favorite all-time band is MANA and have been twice to see them live. If anyone has frequent flier miles going to waste, I'm trying to get to Houston September 1st!!! Help a sister out! : )
Movies:
Best martial arts movie: ONG-BAK or bok? check it out! Could watch Dirty Dancing like a hundred times. Right now the DVD spends all of its time playing Bob the Builder, My Little Ponies, and Dora. I'm starting to think the ponies are the 12 horses from the apocolypse...
Television:
Don't watch alot of TV, I think it really does rot your brain. But sometimes I like a little brain rot so I watch the Daily Show and Colbert Report which is about the extent of the new I get too. I like it that way : )
Books:
I love Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson. Once for English class I had to read Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien it's a book about the Vietnam war and it was incredible. Right now for school I'm reading The Death of Innocents by Sister Prejean. I've read 6 pages and already started crying twice... This could be a long summer...
Heroes:
I really respect everyday people I know that overcome hard times and make me proud to know them. Sometimes people tell me they don't know how I do what I do, but it is only because I have seen firsthand that if you let your dreams light a fire under your butt, and don't listen to what others tell you "reality" is, there isn't much you can't do. I am eternally grateful all the female role models out there who manage to balance courage, ambition, and grace...I am still studying that one...And my Grammy, whose Strength and grace humble me always.
