The revolution IS coming... but the illusion comes first!

About Me

There are 2 kinds of people in the world. I am 1 of them...

My Interests

5.25% x 120 months.

I'd like to meet:

Take a guess.

Music:

To quote a Chemical Brothers title: "Where Do I Begin?" But I do wish that a LOT more Christian musicians were coming through passionately, instead of all Five-For-Fightingy / Trainy / Coldplayy / Jack Johnsony, though they all have a lot of talent.

Movies:

All overrated, wouldn't you say? Shirley, I jest a little. But most of them do tend to be large steaming piles. I'm an appreciator of GOOD cinema. The last altogether decent movie that I saw was "Batman Begins," and I've seen a lot since then. BB had a firm grasp of good vs. evil. "The World's Fastest Indian" with Anthony Hopkins looks decent, too. I'm rarely a fan of "based on real life" movies, because they're all just flaming fantasies in the end, "Indian" included, I'm sure. But I get a truly good vibe just from clips of "Indian."

Television:

Motorcycle road racing, poker, "The King of Queens" (R.I.P.), "Driving Force," "The First 48." If ever you're feeling down, do a web search on homicide Det. Jason Schechterle of the Phoenix PD. He's been tailed on that show. For starters, you can go to his site, www.officerjason.org . The guy was "vic"timized when his Ford Crown Vic pretty much sploded. His entire appearance was severely altered. He's such a cool soul, though, that he wouldn't consider a new face via the recently developed face-transplant technology. He says to give the face to somebody who feels the need for it.

Books:

The Holy Bible (primarily in a KJV)...Strong's Exhaustive Concordance (an old one - not a "new" or "Stronger" one)...Bullinger's Companion Bible (gotta have those Appendices)...The Fountainhead, by Ayn Rand

Heroes:

Pretty lame show. I liked it much more the first time as the movie "Unbreakable." Let's lump the show in with the generic, over-acted, agenda-driven drama of "24," "Lost," "CSI," "Grey's Anatomy," "House," etc. .....On top of that, the 5 top-rated shows this season are just different-night airings of "American IDOL" and "Dancing with the STARS." It's all NASCAR. What a clueless, clueless society. It deserves to be fooled, just as God says in Ezekiel and elsewhere. And He won't have pity. ***So I thank Him that my sense of humor is fully intact.*** .....The only reason people are looking for heroes is that they are shunning proper faith. No mortal soul ever has been or will be worth dying for, yet God sacrificed Himself in the flesh anyway. The ultimate illustration of grace! We also should have within ourselves some of that will to sacrifice, though our sacrifice cannot hold a candle to God's. We should be willing to sacrifice for our faith, though. Do you have it in you? Would you even ultimately... die for your faith?
