Luke Watt

Luke Watt, a songwriter/guitarist newly based in Melbourne, was introduced to the recordings of the blues greats at an early age. Luke has since turned an appreciation of acoustic music into a passion. Whilst it is an old cliche' Luke's sound is hard to pigeonhole. His song writing is personal and emotive, and often draws on uniquely Australian stories, blues grooves and folk melodies. Combine this with a dynamic and percussive guitar style and a band of truly killer players and the result is a young musician with a force of presence few his age have achieved. Luke's debut album will be recorded mid March 2008 with the help of Danny McKenna on drums (Those Bloody McKennas) Tom Morgan on double bass, and Nick Huggins taking up production duties! Bring on 2008!
