Hello hello.....
We are RUBY SUMMER....
Ruby is 18. Summer is 20.
We are sisters from Carlsbad, California.
We surf, dance, act, play guitar, dulcimer, and other various sundry things with strings.
We record in our little studio in our garage which we call "The Glitter-Box"
Our house smells like surf wax, camp fires, and Lilies.
We grew up on the records of Joni Mitchell and the artistry of our own parents.
We walk around barefoot, make daisy chain bracelets, and eat California Burrito's.
We rarely get hair-cuts, have sandy toes, and crooked teeth, and love it.
We sleep in the same bed even though we have separate rooms.
Ruby can cry at any given moment, she could cry because "the sky is just so beautiful" and Summer rarely cries, cause she holds it together to be the "shoulder to lean on"
But when it rains it pours, and once she starts, she CANNOT stop.... it's bad....
Our album on Lyric Street Records will be released in Fall '09.
It represents Art Reflecting Life, a long Journey of Relationships, Redemption, and Becoming.
We love the ocean, animals, the stars, and the sun, the universe, mankind, and every child and creation of God.
We believe that peace on earth can be attained, and it all starts with peace in the home;
Share your clothes with your sister, play with your brother, do the dishes for your mother, make some coffee for your father. It all starts little by little, inch by inch. START NOW.
We played the local coffee shop by night, wrote songs with our Dad by day, and now we're recording and telling our STORIES.
We're all connected. We all came from the same place. We Are One.
Let's love each other, and not see our faults. Let's move this world together.
We hope to inspire and unite people with our music, the way that music unites and inspires us.
