Janeane Garofalo!!!! She is the idol I could possibly go to hell for worshipping...luckily I don't believe in that, so I'll be okay. She is the coolest woman to ever walk the earth, in my opinion. John Cusack, Robert Smith, Sarah McLachlan, Buddha, Jon Stewart, Jane Goodall, Tupac, and Charles Manson for the coolness and/or interestingness factor. Eliza Dushku, Jordana Brewster, Rachel McAdams, Bettie Page, Leisha Hailey (who I did actually see with the Murmurs), Lenny Kravitz with his long dreads, Ani DiFranco, Lisa Bonet, Bitch and/or Animal, Katherine Moennig, Sarah Shahi, Erin Daniels, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Sarah Silverman for the hotness/doable/fun & good times factor. ;)
Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco, Missy Elliott, Tupac Shakur, Al Green, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Lords of Acid, Indigo Girls, Pete Yorn, Ben Folds Five, Notorious B.I.G., George Clinton and P-Funk, Dixie Chicks, L.L. Cool J, Erasure, Cyndi Lauper, Beth Orton, Annie Lennox, Bill Withers, Pat Benatar, The other Melissas, Counting Crows, Aimee Mann, The Sundays, Prince, Jack Johnson, Lenny Kravitz, Juliana Hatfield, Belly, Luscious Jackson, Joan Osborne, Queen Latifah, Pink Mafia, Tiffany Christopher, Sarah Hughes, Le Tigre, Bjork, Bikini Kill, Oingo Boingo, Patrice Pike, Regina Spektor, Akon, and Joan Jett
I am a pop culture geek big time. I can watch anything with Janeane Garofalo in it, Clue, Staying Alive, Footloose, The Goonies, and A Nightmare on Elm Street over and over...super cheese. Some of my favorite movies are: Sweethearts, American Beauty, But I'm a Cheerleader, Nowhere, Grosse Pointe Blank, Garden State, Frailty, Donnie Darko...and Kevin Smith movies are fun...The flicks that I've rented and appreciated most recently would have to be: "Pretty Persuasion," "Thumbsucker," "Mysterious Skin," "The Aristocrats," = Mega-raunchiness, and "Waiting" = Fun 15-year old-boy humor. Okay, some new updates: An American Haunting was a great spooky movie, and I loved Thank You For Smoking. But the most fascinating film I've seen recently is (drum roll please) The Devil and Daniel Johnston. If you haven't seen it, go rent it. NOW!
CSI kicks ass of course! The Twilight Zone, The L Word, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Grey's Anatomy...and I hate to admit it, but I love my Fear Factor and Project Runway! I wish I could just turn the life-force sucker off, but I lack the willpower currently. I'm adding Top Chef here, but I'm still disappointed that Josie got kicked off this season. She was SO my new girlfriend!
I'm reading a new Lesbian Erotica book and "Butch is a Noun" right now. Good times.
