There is just no denying the city of Chicago's apparent influence on popular music culture. Be it the soulful, sexually-charged crooning of R&B bad boy R. Kelly or the rapid-fire, quick-witted flows of Twista or the socially-conscious teachings of hip hop back packer Kanye West, the Windy City has offered one of the most eclectic blends of chart-topping music than any other city.Borrowing from every musical element that his home city has to offer, Chi-town terror Ice Mizzle has sent an unseasonable cold front through his adopted ATL home with diverse lyrical style and unpredictable rhymes just as frigid as the frozen water that bears his namesake."I am versitile as hell. You cant imagine me doing all the styles I do," Ice boasts. "I change it up. I got like five different rap styles. I can't rap the same on every song. I just can't see that. I'm so versatile that when I'm playing music, people be like 'who is that'? That's me, but I just switch it up. I got a knack to change my voice and be that character. As the jump-off artist from Atlanta-based independent label PCH Entertainment, Mr. Mizzle is riding high off the regional success of his block-blazing single "She's Bi" produced by the super production team "ROUNDTABLE KINGS." "She Bi" made it all the way to number 2 on the Top Single's Billboard chart and caught the entire south off gaurd. Coming behind the single is a follow-up female version remix featuring peanut butter thick centerfold favorite Buffie the Body. His first round was a complilation album titled Darksyde Empire Presents The Invasion. Done at the end of last summer, the promotional disc introduced his label and entire roster including Decatur-born rapper Ben Frank Jr. and beat doctors Malichi and Round Table Kings. And Ice is set to make Atlanta traps even colder with the release of his as yet untitled sophomore album this summer."She's Bi" is metaphorical. It has two meanings," he explains. "The girl is bisexual, but no matter what, I'mma make her buy for me."
Born on Chicagos south side, Ice Mizzle relocated to Atlanta after high school to attend Clark College. Ironically though, he wasn't even rapping when he first moved down south but he discovered a natural flair to freestyle his junior year. By the time he had graduated with a degree in business administration and moved back home to Chicago, he had mastered the art of rhyming. Shortly after returning home, he released the locally praised underground debut album Frozen Water in 2003.Knowing that Atlanta had more to offer his musical endeavors, he left a good-paying sales gig and returned to ATL late 2005 to pursue his musical career. "I was telemarketing for Time Life. I was their top salesman my first year," he says. "I just knew I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life. I was selling CDs for them, and I knew I could sell my own even better."Once in Atlanta, his skills landed him in the company of such heavyweights like Too $hort and local entrepreneur KB, with whom he recently inked a deal on his rapidly emerging upstart indie label PCH Entertainment. Now with the know-how and skill of well-respected label PCH Entertainment and Ice Mizzles uncompromising verbal snowstorms, prepare for a cold summer.Ice Mizzle is now currently putting the finishing touches on his latest mix tape wit Chicago's hottest DJ "Mr BET" Sean Mac, sure to place him above any competition. With his Debut Album set to release this coming fall! I'm tellin you, your lookin at a Pimpin M*th@fck@!!!!!!!!!!
