About Me

BIO
Motto: Forget the suits, stylish jeans and vintage t-shirts get more girls! Two guys give up their 9-to-5’s for an unpaid internship getting coffee and running petty errands for upper level music execs.
So, the story begins. In the fall of 2003, in a windy midwestern city, Michael Mikosz and Jarrod Cooper walked up the same cold stone steps to their new hellish job. Unaware of the consequences, both had ditched the stability of Corporate America to become starving artists tucked away in the mailroom of a major record label.
After discussing a variety of musical influences over packing slips and rolls of tape, Jarrod confessed that he had written a handful of lyric-less songs and offered to play them for his newfound friend. Amidst countless late-night sessions, the two discovered that they had more than just a knack for creating hook-filled melodies. It wasn’t long before rumors emerged of a new duo performing under the stage name, Fair June.
Armed with complex rhythms layered beneath compelling vocals, Fair June creates a unique mixture of musical harmonies that has become their trademark. Spending the last several years putting down roots around the country, Fair June is now gaining attention from the same music execs they previously fetched coffee for.
Now backed by a full-band accompaniment, catch the guys out on tour as they promote their much-anticipated release, A Whisper Across A Wire.
** Fair June is one of the featured artists on Awarestore.com's Ear Snacks Vol. 8. Previous volumes have included such talent as Jason Mraz, Liz Phair, Marc Broussard, The Jayhawks, Citizen Cope, Damien Rice, to name a few. **
