"the Puritans" began in the spring of 2003 when friends Wes and Linz met Jonathan Cobb at a party. Wes and Linz had been playing bass and guitar along with the stereo since the fall of 2002 and Jonathan suggested they jam. After nailing down several covers by bands like Sleater kinney and Katastrophy Wife the trio began work on original material...... minutes (hehe) later the bulk of their first original songs were set and in November of 2003 they made their debut at a house party in tuscaloosa. Over time they have seen several breaks and break-ups but now in 2006 "the Puritans" are back FULL FORCE working on new material and refining the old. CHECK THEM OUT!!
