- Started making music in 2000
- Started the independent record label Non-Existent Recordings (RIP 2005-2008), originally started to release and promote the work of talented instrumental hip hop/downtempo/electronic artists
- Released first instrumental album 'you are here. so am i.' (NXR 001) on Non-Existent Recordings in 2006. Mainly vinyl sample based with additional keyboard playing and drum machine programming, it featured dark, dreamlike melodies and heavy drums
- Despite positive reviews and strong attempts at promotion, Non-Existent Recordings folded in 2008 after two releases due to general indifference from record distributors, reviewers, unrecouped expenses, a bit of backstabbing/shit talking, frustration where there was once fun, and changing priorities (starting a family, having increasingly little to no time to work on music)
- Recorded countless songs and explored new song ideas between 2006-2008 and scrapped every single one of them due to sounding like uninspired sequels to the songs of 'you are here.' or sounding forced and lacking life
- Severed ties with former associated artists and changed approach to making music. Quit making sample based music and focused on composing original music using software synths and putting more emphasis on drum programming, eschewing loops in favour of programming each individual drum hit to create constantly changing drum patterns. The resulting music expanded and improved on the foundation and ideas found on 'you are here.'
