My Interests

Umm... Michael Buble. You need more? Oh. Well, I love movies and comics and reading and archaeology and history. Oh yeah, weapons! Those are fun, specifically swords. I'm trying to build a collection. I love playing football and volleyball and I love going to football games and baseball games. I also like to travel, especially to places of historical interest. Last of all, I'm very interested in learning to ballroom dance and some kind of martial arts that would also teach me to use a sword. How rad would that be? Now I just have to find the place and time...

I'd like to meet:

If you know me at all, you know this one...Michael Buble. He's my future husband you know! The sooner we meet, the better. Sure, there are other people I'd love to meet but let's get the important one done with first.

Music:

Okay, I listen to pretty much anything as long as its not foul or smooth jazz or opera. I love oldies and country. I pick and choose through everything else so I have a rather varied collection. But my absolute favorite song is Unwell by Matchbox Twenty. How can a song talking about being crazy and hearing voices not touch you deep inside? I know I could relate. Also, of course, I love and will buy anything by Michael Buble! My favorite one by him is Moondance.

Movies:

Ahh movies! They are one of the loves of my life! Hey, I chose my first job based on this devotion and even went back to that same job several times. Movies- I love all kinds, every kind. If it looks interesting and has actors I like, I'll give it a shot. My absolute favorite is The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Hey, it may be long but it is so cool and I have never ever seen anyone do with a movie what Peter Jackson did with this. I have a few runners-up that are special to me for sentimental reasons:Stargate- geeky, maybe, but it made me want to be an archaeologist even more! He freakin' figured out how to go to another planet!Jurassic Park- the very first movie to give me way more than I could have ever expected.Sleeping Beauty- favorite Disney cartoon since I was a kid. Man, I drove my family crazy with that one.Guys and Dolls- cuz I love musicals and this one tops them all! Such style and Old Blue Eyes and Marlon Brando together? Perfect!

Television:

My taste in TV is nearly as diverse as my taste in movies. I'll watch anything that catches my fancy, from sci-fi to classics to comedy to drama. I hate reality shows for the most part but I love to watch anything with some type of ballroom dancing. And I admit I just can't get into Lost, as crazy as that may seem. Shows that always make me laugh- The Cosby Show, I Love Lucy and Fresh Prince of Bel Air. They get me every time. My absolute favorite show of all time has to be FARSCAPE! Talk about a show with everything.

Books:

I love to read and I like a good historical fiction book with a little bit of everything- romance, action, history, the works. My absolute favorite book of all time? It's actually the first two books in the Mark of the Lion trilogy by Francine Rivers. I also like to read classics and any book on archaeology and/or history.

Heroes:

Heroes? I don't know about that. I mean I may be a movie-and-comic-book nerd but I do know the difference between what's real and not real ( I think). There are many people I admire for many different reasons. The only real hero I can think of would be Jesus, for He did save me from my sins and die in my place so that I may eternally live. He is the only one I would truly want to try and emulate completely.
