I'm a fourth-year PhD student in Biomedical Engineering. I've fully embraced my dork-dom! I'm studying medical imaging... mostly x-rays and breast cancer. I love art in all forms, and have gotten addicted to ink. Hopefully I'll stop before I'm out of coverable areas!I grew up in VA, but I have lived in NC, SC and NY as well. I split my time as much as possible between grad school in NC and NY where I worked as a "visiting scientist" cranking through my dissertation research at Brookhaven National Laboratories in a huge windowless building with incessant white noise to drive you nuts and street lights for ceiling lights that will blind you if you look directly into them for more than 0.2 seconds. Needless to say, I did't work on my tan!I foster animals for Independent Animal Rescue, so the number and type of pets I have varies from time to time, but I've still got my two permanent babies Peanut and Buddy. Both of my kitties are street hoodlums turned rub-sluts and lazy bastards.I bought my first house about two years ago and have renovated it mostly myself... I got a bit of help with electrical so I didn't fry myself more than my teenage years did. I think the only unaltered portion of the house is the hallway. I'm *almost* done adding a master bathroom where a chimney and closet once were. Now I'm contemplating an addition to the house... because school isn't keeping me busy enough.
