I woke up this morning...

About Me

Drew Hayward began performing his songs at coffeehouses and open mics in the Iowa City / Cedar Rapids area. Before that, he played guitar in the rock band, Agnes Mabel Becky, based in Ithaca, NY. Inspired by the simplicity and beauty of songs by artists such as Bob Dylan, Jeff Tweedy, and Jack White, Drew writes songs about love, life, and whatever else comes to mind. His songwriting is influenced by the above mentioned artists, the rich Ithaca music scene from his youth, and also from playing Radiohead / Zeppelin style rock with his band. Drew's first CD, "Mexed Missages," contains 11 original songs and was recorded primarily at Studio Point Digital Recording Studio in Iowa City under the production of Mircea (March) Tomus. A few of the songs include the talents of Drew's good friend, Nathaniel Rundle on bass and harmony. His next CD is in the works….I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
