My name is Melissa. I am 28 years young. I come from a pretty diverse background consisting of Spanish, Italian, German, and Greek. I am generally a very nice person and friendly with everyone. Sometimes I am nice to a fault. I am also very energetic, loving, and have a pretty good sense of humor even though most people wouldn't think that about me before actually getting to know me. I consider myself to be intelligent yet I know how to have a good time. I have a variety of interests that most people wouldn't think I like. I enjoy activities like reading, going to museums, art shows, wine tasting shows, and gardening, but I also like attending sport events such as basketball, football, hockey, and NASCAR racing. I love shopping, bars, going to the movies, trying out different restaurants, amusement parks (I AM A BIG KID AT HEART lol), concerts, comedy shows, and trying out anything new. I have friends from all walks of life and have had some pretty interesting experiences. OH and I am HUGE animal lover! I love all kinds of animals especially big cats like panthers, lions, tigers, and mountain lions. I have three gorgeous cats and a Russian tortoise so yeah I keep myself busy lol. I am planning to get a dog soon too.My dream is to help people with brain injuries through rehabilitative counseling and to establish my own practice. My other dream is to meet the love of my life and share a beautiful life together. I want the sort of life that screams volumes of love where I can feel secure with the person knowing that he will always be there for me and to love and accept me for who I am and without the confusing games. I want the type who can chill outside under the stars gazing at the moon and watch the moon light cast its shadow upon the Earth. I want the type who has enough strength to be himself and not be afraid to express himself without ever thinking he is weak for doing that. I want someone who takes life seriously but also knows when to have fun definitely not someone boring. Most of all, I want someone to enhance my life. I don't need a man but I want someone who enhances my life by making it more well-rounded by sharing interesting ideas and views on the mysteries of life. I am as straight as I can be and expect total honesty and loyalty and really strive to improve myself on a daily basis because I firmly believe we each have the capacity to create our own individuality. My motto is take it or leave it because I don't want to settle for anything less than what I deserve.My dislikes: I don't like arrogant, cocky, or haughty attitudes. I don't like rude people or people who are quick to judge others without giving them a chance. I always try to treat others with respect so I expect the same in return---it's just common courtesy don't ya think? I also don't like superficial people who don't take the time to really get to know me either. I don't consider myself ugly nor drop dead gorgeous but I think I am a cute girl but I do have a brain so I am not just another pretty face. I also love God and think he is the best! I always turn to him when everything is not going right or in times of stress. I truly believe that we can conquer anything if we put our minds to it and believe in ourselves. I also try not to dwell on things from the past because it will prevent you from living in the present moment. Past relationships are nothing to dwell over because not everyone is the same nor should they be treated like they are like someone from the past. Everyone deserves a chance at happiness! Let's see....I think that is pretty much it. If I think of anything else I will add it lol. OH here's a BIG no no for me. If you are going to be in my world leave the bullshit at the door.
