Patriarch, Born in San Francisco, Ca. raised in the East Bay, Hayward, Ca.
Patriarchs’ love for poetry began at the early age of 12 years old, then eventually spun off to the lyrical form of music. Patriarch began playing different musical instruments primarily the Violin throughout elementary school and his ear for music matured.
As Patriarch started high school the hardship of life became a reality. In a predominantly African-American community Patriarch grew up listening to West Hayward bred rap artists such as Spice 1 and influenced by other local artists such as, Tupac Shakur, Digital Underground, Richie Rich, Dru Down, Luniz, Too Short and many more.
Patriarch with Palestinian and North African Roots embraces the struggles of the world with his music depicting his and his families experiences with poverty, racism, corruption and just heart felt stories that he chooses to expose.
The word Patriarch derives from the Orthodox Christian Church that he grew up in. Although he doesn’t agree with the churches definition he still maintains his Christian faith and belief and has transformed the name Patriarch with his own definition and duty and it’s felt throughout his music.
