Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

About Me

I'm very independent. I bought a house by myself. I travel by myself: I've been to New Orleans, New York, Great Britain and France by myself. I go out to dinner, the movies, whatever...by myself. Why do people think this is weird? Honestly, if you can't enjoy your own company, how can you expect anyone else to?

I read voraciously, just about anything that crosses my path, but I have a preference for mysteries, brit-chick-lit and epic novels. I share custody of my amazing 8 year old son. (Seriously, just listen to his three-year-old self sing . I may not be strictly objective, but that is cute as hell.) I'm extremely practical and analytical, but I have my soft side too. I'm also stubborn. I want what I want when I want it, and I'm not shy about it. And oh yeah, I am a hula hoop goddess. ;-)

My Interests

books, traveling, hula hoops, red wine (esp Italian & French), French bread, books, killing houseplants, cheeeeeese, books, my compound miter saw, Tigger, Starbucks lattes, books, wasting time on the Internet, salsa dancing, snorkeling, and oh yeah, did I mention BOOKS?

I'd like to meet:

Uh....Stephen King, so I can slap him silly over that disappointing end to the Dark Tower series. George Clooney, because he's smokin' hot and I'd love to jump his bones. Laura J (now Laura W), because she was my best friend in high school and I still feel bad for being such a bitch on New Year's about ten years ago. President Bush, so I can explain to him (in very small words) that it's pronounced nu-CLEE-er, not nu-kew-ler, and that there is no such thing as a fucking penunchula. That would be "peninsula," you idiot. Is English your first language? Jesus.

This cracks me up every single time...
