Hello, I am JKAT and I am a designer, artist, illustrator and CSS programmer. I am the owner/CEO of JKAT Designs and the creator of Funky Cool Art. I offer all forms of design work: web, print and multimedia. My clients have included artists, entertainers, small to mid-size businesses, government offices, and more.
Some of the services offered are: web design (CSS, Flash, HTML, Actionscript, XHTML, Javascript, Coldfusion), web site maintenance, graphic design, print work, illustration, editorial, layout, email design, multimedia and animation.
Software skills include: Adobe CS2 (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Adobe Designer, After Effects, Premiere, Flash and Dreamweaver, 3DMax and Poser.
As an artist, I paint because I am ultra sensitive to things that happen around me and in the world. The only way to get these images out of my head is to put it down on paper or canvas. I want to be able to recreate every emotion, thought, idea I have about a subject onto canvas or into a sketchbook. I aspire just like any other artist, to be able to support myself with my work and to fulfill my destiny, I mean; I wasn’t given this gift for nothing. The last thing I want is when I finally do meet my maker is to try and explain why I didn’t become an Artist.
My current work is a type of work I call “funky coolâ€. I started as a realist artist but as I grew older I felt the need to expand on my style. I had my foundation for drawing; I wanted to now seek my true work. I am exploring a new me, I want to be able to convey my ideas in a creative, fun way and in my style. I like the freedom of being able to draw the figure any way I want it, the human body is already a piece of art. I cannot improve on what God already created, I just can make it “funky coolâ€.
