A funny fact about my name Oprah, it was intended to be Orpah but the hospital spelt it wrong on my birth certificate so my mother Vernon Winfrey decided to keep it Oprah. I Worked as a news anchor for WJZ Television in Baltimore, Maryland in the 1970's. From there I was then the host of Good Morning America and The Oprah Winfrey show was created from there.
