Che Guitarra's GLAMTASM

About Me

There once was a band called Jet Silver & The Dolls of Venus. They were the most influential and obscure bands of the UK glam scene in the early to mid seventies. BeBop Deluxe even wrote a song about them. They broke up in 1977. Heartbroken, disillusioned, and burnt-out, lead guitarist Che Guitarra went into seclusion. Twenty-five years later, mad as a hatter and convinced that modern music was still in dire need of fun, Che Guitarra created Che-Tel Records and the Glamtasm in an effort to make all the furrow-browed, angst ridden kids of the world pogo like the days of yore.
Featuring a revolving cast of musicians hand picked and wrangled by Che, the Glamtasm revives the hard rocking Glam-Pop of mid-'70s London and infuses it with the punk and metal of the same era. Kinda like the Alan Parson's Project...only Glam.
