H enry Miller once said "Develop interest in life as you see it; in people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself".For this is something i live by. The world is too beautiful to just ignore, we arn't truely living without seeing what is truely around us. We live in a society that is about "ME", and nothing more. But some of lifes most precious things are whats around us, not ourselves.
I am a lover of music and the arts. Its what keeps me wanting to wake up each morning and i couldn't imagine life without it.
What can one say about themselves without sounding too self aware of conceded.. I am a 20 year old gay boy living in Grosse Tete Louisiana.. I am an artist and i wouldn't choose any other life for myself. Art is what life is about and i truly believe that. Music is another big passion of mine, music can bring me out of the deepest of depressions and give me hope for another day, its saved my life a few times i could imagine.. Its my therapy..
I am also a big fan of pharmacology and i like to read on chemicals and drugs when i have free time. Yes i know this sounds extremely boring, but i find it interesting, so that is all that matters anyway. I find the way the mind works to be fascinating, the concept of us even using half our brain mass would vastly change society today. I don't even think a lot of society could even handle it. But i also believe that their are ways to open parts of our brains that we don't currently use or rarely use. Through drugs, meditation or music, i do believe it is possible to open parts of our brain we have currently not used, and i currently practice these things in order to gain a new view on life and the world around me. Life is a wonderful thing, why not take advantage of it?

W e cannot succeed unless we work with nature, who will not accept halfhearted service. We receive no answer when we call to her only in moments of dilemma or disappointment and then turn again and desert her. She has no word for the insincere or indifferent; she responds only to those whose minds are awake to the highest aims. It is as we reach out in thought to the best and noblest that her answer comes back to us. Out of the great dark surroundings of life dawns the enlightenment of the inner man when the soul of man shall speak, and we who were under the shadow of our affairs and difficulties become aware that this is indeed the gods' universe which divine laws do govern, and that nature is all friendly and humanity need not be otherwise. For there is no need for all this human quarreling and fighting and doubting: could we trust ourselves, we should trust our neighbors; could we trust our neighbors, we should trust the divine law. Then we should know that life is beautiful and true.
